Eternity’s Call

Eternity’s Call started when God made such heavy statement;

Gen.1.26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: 

and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, 

A pointer to the fact that God never embarks on a journey without a purpose.

If so be it then, it means that there was a great need and desire in God’s heart 

backed by a great purpose and this purpose was effected from eternity into time.

Eternity’s Call is a proof that there is always a deep need in the heart of the Father

And we respond because we heard the call believing fully in the Caller.

Genesis 12:1 “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country,

and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee”

The Eternal Scrolls of Man, Eternity’s Call 

Man’s existence on earth is for a reason and purpose.

Eternity’s Call transcends time, it captures the eternal purposes of God

That’s why the Scripture says in Eccl.3.11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time,

He also has set eternity in men ‘s hearts, for many was made in His likeness 

Which allowed for an installation of eternity into their hearts and minds.

This indeed is a mighty thing.

I’ve often wondered how God did this, the intricacies, the wisdom, the deftness.

Seriously, it amazes and awes me alot, these are the things I see and my 

convictions about certain things God is saying intensifies

Truly let God be God abegg!

Consequently, just as the fish cannot live outside the water, man cannot live and survive in exclusivity of God.

True, some people still live their lives not knowing God, but we must understand 

That anyone who lived such a life and died lived out a shadow of what true living really meant.

God created man and if so be it that man is God’s creation how then can man survive outside of His Creator.?

This is an aberration and a big confusion on the part of people laying claims to atheism.

Invarably, the destiny of a man is only said to be fulfilled when it has met the end of God.

2Cor.5.15 “And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves” 

Unfortunately, we come to realize at the end, when it is all over.

For there is way that seems right to a man but the end there in is destruction.

Living with eternity in view is a call for Jesus is and remains the substance of existence.

God’s Purpose for Man, Eternity’s Call 

John 1:3 “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

There is an eternal agenda in God’s heart hence the need for Eternity’s Call 

It was because of this purpose that the agenda to create man was conceived and birthed.

For man is an integral part of the subset of the full set, instrumental to the fulfillment of God’s purpose.

No wonder a songwriter said “ From life’s first cry till final breath, Jesus commands my destiny”

Consequently, we measure up to sonship the more Christ is being formed in us and in the same vein Christ will rule and dominate around us.

That’s why the need for transformation by beholding; because it is they who are consistently beholding that ever have hope of becoming 

So daily we behold, we don’t see what we want yet but the Father assures us that we will become 

So we take each step in confidence that we will be conformed to Imago Dei

Men who have been so transformed to look like Jesus in every ramifications.

It is such persons that have much authority to bring down God’s kingdom and ensure that God’s will is being done.

It is important to not that this formation fundamentally depends on Priesthood.

For priesthood transcends time into eternity.

 an onlooker.

Eternity’s Call is a call to become priests and then kings who will rule both on earth and after life on earth.

For of a surety, there is a life after now.

The Life of a Priest

1John.2.15 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.

The priest is the one that engages in priesthood. Priesthood entails life too.

A priest is a consecrated person unto God

For he or she is such that offers incense (himself first).

It is in the offering of himself that what he or she is offering can become a sweet smelling savour to God.

Therefore, the priest must consecrate himself according to God’s word and the scriptures.

I actually used to think when I started out in my walk with God

That priesthood is just to organise things, you know activities and all that but 

I’ve found out that as much as priesthood entails life it rides on the wings of much death

For a corn a wheat must first fall to the ground and die, for in its death is the hope for the ministration of life.

2 Corinthians 4:10 “always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body”.

Seeming like obedience to these will demand all of us

And even during times we want to take it easy on ourselves, we can’t help it because 

we can’t shake of the heavy burden of eternity weighing on our shoulders 

No doubt we want to be normal, alas!! normalcy and our delicate balance has been collected 😔 

So we trust God to yield even when scorned and tired

For when the roll is called up yonder, Eternity’s Call and our response to it is what counts.
