In the embers of the secret place is where the pure flame burns;
Consuming the sacrifice that lays in total yieldedness upon the altar.
The path to the ways of God made bare, a very rare experience to those outside.
With the full confidence that, the more we come the secret place, the more we look like where we came out from.
Because, that was where we allowed exchange to take place as we waited for God there
Inconsistent, now consistent, listless, spiritless now energised and vivacious.
We are not longer lerthegic or weary of going to the secret place
Because, we are confident that if we truly go there, we don’t come out the same.
Psalm 122:1 “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.”
An Irreplaceable Place
If it is a secret place, then it means it is not something we stumble upon.
Consequently, as believers if we hope to grow in our walk with God we have to find it.
That’s why, the scriptures speaking in Proverbs 25:2 “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing:
But the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
It seems as if only hunger and thirst for God is what can push us there.
Where we are not necessarily looking for what we can get from God but what God can gain from us.
For when we find Him, only then will we abide under His shadow.
Indeed, we might have to analyze this gold scripture in its depth,
To be able to efficiently garner the precious truth that lies there in.
For the secret place here is the secret place of the most high.
Hence, it is worthy of note that only the one who truly and diligently seeks the Lord,
In truth and in spirit can find it.
Behove it so say, that no man wants to grant access to his secrets to just anyone
How much more God, infact the scripture says “ he that dwelleth” not he that has dwelled.
It is a present continuous intentional act on our path irrespective of how we feel.
That’s where we develop the requisite capacity and strength to incubate what God is doing.
Bringing us to the point where God can trust us and the more God can trust us, the greater the hopes of becoming.
An Irreplaceable Place, the Secret Place
There there will be a continual and progressive drawing and wooing,
For the one who responds is the one whom access door is opened to.
That’s why what is captured in the book of Deut.4.29
“But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.”
This is the cry of our heart in the secret peradventure the genuiness of our heart will make us to be found.
Sometimes even the transformation of the believer might not be too significantly noticed by the seeker,
That the Lord has taken Him more personally.
As a result of his consistent tarrying and dwelling.
Exod.34.29 “ when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.”
Many workings not seen by the mortal man sometimes but that doesn’t mean God isn’t doing something.
There is nothing as frustrating as trying to put up a front or a persona not furnished by the Spirit
It is merely a facade and can’t last, so we keep coming so that we will truly become.
So as we journey in the paths to the secret place of God, it is not palatable at all.
But here is our confidence and our hope; that we will find and be found of God.
So we run not as one beating the air because we know each blow counts.
As the knowledge of the holy one intensifies profoundly.
Containing proper mixtures of our incense, scriptures, worship and burdens;
In their right measures and quotas.
For we will never ever please the master without it.
For therein lies our strength abounding;
Finding that place, the Secret Place
Really, it takes a lot for one to actually wait on God
Sometimes we might be in a hurry to quickly throw stones at Saul in the Bible
But it’s even looking as if he waited more than we are doing even while under the old covenant
There is this thing that makes us hasty, sometimes we can’t help it
Even in days when we found ourselves on the corridors of the secret place
Somehow we couldn’t wait😭😭, and even when we waited, not long enough
The thing used to border me oh!
I mean it was seven days that Saul was told to wait which he did but yet he failed the test of waiting.
My Father Apostle Edu said that it is in the place of waiting that exchange takes place
So if no exchange took place, you never waited!!
So if am a hasty person, in the place of waiting I exchange hastiness for deliberateness and carefulness
I exchanged weakness for strength, curse for blessing
Foolishness for wisdom, lethargy for hunger……
For it is in waiting that we can find the secret place, believe me many times it takes great strength to wait.
The Bible in Isa.40.31 says
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
It is seeming as if from the above scripture that as a result of their waiting they had strength.
They already had strength but they needed more strength so they could wait.
So the more they waited that initial little strength they had was exchanged for compounded strength.
Because that’s what will help them to walk and not faint, and to walk and not be weary.
Conclusion
We can’t help but note that the heart of the seeker becomes a place God can live
Where He can find rest!!
Psalm 132:8 “Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; Thou, and the ark of thy strength.
In the secret place, God can find rest in us!
May God hear our ernest cry and bring us to His secret place😭🙏.
