Finding hope in life’s trials. Have you ever found yourself in a season where life felt like a burning furnace?
Pressing, intense, and unrelenting? And like Peter you feel like you are about sinking.
With Christ our anchor close by, all we could shout was “help me Jesus, I am sinking!”
A long stretch of waiting that seems never-ending. These are the fires of life, and though painful,
can become holy ground where God’s power and presence are revealed in the most profound ways.
Isaiah 43:2, captures it in a more profound way.“When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.”
This isn’t just poetic encouragement; it’s a divine assurance that God doesn’t leave us when things heat up.
In fact, the fire often becomes the very place where His nearness becomes unmistakably real.
Seaming as if the fire is meant to draw us closer to Him not farther away from Him.
Fire Is Not Always a Sign of God’s Absence; Finding Hope in Life’s Trials
Finding Hope in Life’s Trials isn’t something sweet. I am yet to see someone who goes through trials and enjoys it.
Except that grace, mercy and help was supplied from the True source; Christ!
The fire Is not always a sign of God’s absence—Sometimes it’s the evidence of His process!
Some of the most faithful people in Scripture walked through unimaginable trials—yet God was with them every step of the way.
I had often wondered why God didn’t deliver these people, I mean He has the power to.
It dawned on my first that God isn’t obligated to respond to my inquisitiveness
If I seek real answers genuinely, I will find them.
Secondly, I mean in the case of Jesus, God would have just let His only son go
But if God did, man is still doomed!!
Fire Is Not Always a Sign of God’s Absence; Finding Hope in Life’s Trials
If God leaves us the way we are, there is no hope of us being near the threshold of God’s eternal purposes
Let alone, walking in it. I often think assuming God didn’t allow my Father Apostle Edu to go through sometimes.
It is possible that he might never have been the conduit to pass heavenly matters to us.
So if it takes God passing the man He wants through fire to get the man He needs.
Even though painful, He is willing to alone His son go through fire for the moment so that life will be released.
So the more consistent the fire, the more consistent the life released. God abegggg oooo 😭
It’s not an easy road, I wish I can wish it away sometimes but I haven’t succeeded 😭😭
If you wish and succeed let me know😭!!
Trials Purify, They Don’t Destroy
“What God does first is not necessarily to change your circumstance but to strengthen you”!..Apt. Edu Udechukwu

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego the three Hebrew boys refused to bow to the golden image of King Nebuchadnezzar,
choosing instead to stand for God even if it meant death. Invariably, it means that there might be times when we might have option to escape the fire
But we choose not to. In fact, God didn’t prevent them from going into the fire
Rather He walked with them in it. And that made all the difference.
These are some of the things I remember in the Christian journey of faith, and I cry for grace and help.
Just as gold is refined in fire, our faith is strengthened and refined in trials.
Fire has a purpose in the hands of the Refiner.
It burns away what is unnecessary—pride,
fear, self-reliance…and leaves behind a clearer, purer reflection of Christ in us.
Sometimes, we don’t want to be in the hands of the refiner if we are allowed to choose.
We pray for a quick escape, a miracle intervention, or a divine rescue plan. And yes, God can do all those things.
But more often, He chooses to walk us through the valley instead of airlifting us out of it.
So just like Jesus some of us were driven there because God must realise His purpose in and through us.
Psalm 23:4 says “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.
The operative word here is “through.” it’s not around. Nor above. Not a shortcut. Through.
In other words, God is more concerned about who we’re becoming than what we’re going through.
Conclusion

Often, the greatest breakthroughs and assignments come after the fire. Why? Because now you’re refined.
You’re rooted. You’re more sensitive to God’s voice. You’ve proven your faith under pressure.
You can now be trusted with more because you’ve been tested with much.
When God brings us through trial, we won’t just survive, we will thrive.
He’ll restore you in such a way that people will wonder how you endure what you did.
You won’t wear your pain like a badge. You’ll wear His peace like a crown.
God has a way of making our scars a testimony, not a wound.
Never underestimate the ripple effect of your obedience in the fire. Selah!!
