Finding strength in seasons of blessing. There is this thing that plays in our mind as believers whenever we think about “finding strength,”
Our minds often jump to trials, hardships, and difficult seasons.
After all, we feel this natural inclination to lean on God when life feels overwhelming and we are buffeted to and fro.
But what about when life is good, when prayers are answered, doors swing wide open, and blessings overflow?
When God “rewrites our story” Is strength still needed then?
The answer is yes, an absolute one.
But can God trust that what was added will not become the focus in place of the kingdom.
As far as I know, God doesn’t share His glory, and until He gets the man He wants, we won’t get what we want.

Therefore, to him that is faithful in little, more will be given….it is the law of faithfulness.
Seasons of blessing are more than just for us to enjoy; they are a call to increased stewardship, and worship.
This calls for a different type of strength: the strength to remain humble,
faithful, to use our blessings wisely, and to fight pride and complacency.
Ps: Not all seasons are dark or painful! There are also seasons of harvest, where God’s blessings flow abundantly.
Why Strength Is Needed in Seasons of Blessing; Finding Strength in Seasons of Blessing
finding strength in seasons of blessing.
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights.”(James 1:17)
Blessings do not occur at random. They are frequently responses to prayers, the results of faithfulness
And an outflow of God’s grace and favor.
However, just as seasons of adversity test our faith, seasons of blessing test our character.
You may think, “If I am blessed, why do I need strength?” The solution lies in four major issues:
The Temptation to Forget God
“Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping His commandments.” (Deuteronomy 8:11)
The truth is that when life is hard, we naturally cling to God.
Is it only when it is hard we cling to God? No but alas! it is what is obtainable most times.
That’s why God needs to consistently help us.
I mean it takes a lot of death literally and a great measure of sight to come to the point that whether good or bad.
We are still pursuing God with more intensity than when there was nothing.
When life is going well, there is a subtle temptation to relax our spiritual practices,
forget about our reliance on Him, and put our trust in the rewards. I’ve been there too sometimes.
But I will keep crying like blind Bartimaeus “Jesus thou son of David, help me your girl”!!
per adventure God will hear my sincere cry and truly supply immeasurable help!
It takes a lot of strength than we know to remain dependent on God even when all our needs are met.
Consequently, It takes strength to resist the pride that whispers, “You did this yourself.”
The credit always belongs to God. Proverbs 12:24.
The Call to Stewardship; Finding Strength in Seasons of Blessing

“To whom much is given, from him much will be required.” (Luke 12:48)
Blessings entail duty and opportunities exist not only for our personal delight, but also to advance God’s Kingdom.
Hence, strength is needed to steward blessings faithfully.
Because when things are going well, it’s easy to lose our spiritual fire.
We might become: Less ardent in prayer, less anxious for God’s presence, and less hungry for His word.
That’s why God needs to help us with our motives so that just incase…..just maybe we didn’t find what we were looking for
Can we still keep our eyes and our face set as a flint towards the mark of the High Caller.
Indeed the scripture is true “Seek first the kingdom, every other thing will be added”
Our eyes sometimes is on the addition which is a byproduct of first seeking the kingdom of God.
The kingdom must be sought, for true addition to be received.
You don’t just say it, your daily living is a testament to that.
Take David in the Bible for example a man after God’s own heart,
He was tremendously blessed from humble shepherd to victorious king.
But during a season of ease, when he stayed behind from battle, he fell into sin with Bathsheba (2 Samuel 11).
Ours might not be a Bathsheba, but there is something though!
Showing that for as long as David was actively involved in war when kings went to war, he was safe.
Behove it to say then, that what brought God’s blessings is what will sustain it.
If it came by prayer, it can only be kept through prayer …unless it wasn’t prayer that birthed it abinitio.
Sometimes, it even takes more prayers to keep what was received.
The Tragedy of Misused Blessings; Finding Strength in Seasons of Blessing
But King Solomon loved many foreign women…and his wives turned his heart after other gods.” (1 Kings 11:1-4)
Even great blessings can become snares if we are not anchored in God.
Blessings are not just for our comfort — they are opportunities to advance God’s kingdom.
Solomon was blessed with unparalleled wisdom, wealth, and influence.
However, his heart turned away from God later in life because of complacency and compromise (1 Kings 11).
Behove it to say then, that there is nothing wrong with the blessing or the Blesser.
The challenge is usually the bleesed!
Sometimes these blessings have a way of unearthing unchecked appetites in us. God help us oooo 😭
Is there hope yes! For a man to live in this world yet not of this world yes!
There are clouds of witnesses who despite all they had both in God and in the natural
Moved like pilgrims, they were in search of a “City” whose builder and maker is God.
Songs like “this world is not my home” by Jim Reeves might look old fashion for this age
But songs like this helped these witnesses sustain the consciousness that the real life is after here.
And because of this they were willing not to hold the world with a tight fist,
eager to please the Master no matter how unspoken His Sigh.
Help us Lord Jesus to perpetually keep our gaze fixated on you. Indeed we are pilgrims.
Ways to Stay Strong in Seasons of Blessing

Give God All the Glory
“Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Your name give glory.” (Psalm 115:1)
Every success, every answered prayer, every open door give the credit immediately and completely to God.
And mean it when you do, God knows if you are just paying lip service.
That’s why the scripture says in 1 Samuel 2:3 says “Talk no more so exceeding proudly;
Let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: For the LORD is a God of knowledge, And by him actions are weighed.”
God has not and will never share His glory with anyone.
The scripture says give God “all” the glory not some!!
Stay Humble and Grateful
“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.” (1 Peter 5:6)
Humility keeps our hearts aligned with heaven.
My Father Apostle Edu said that humility is something that is born in the spirit.
Humility is strength, am not talking about motions and all.
True humility furnished in the spirit always stands the test of time.
We can feign humility but on the day destiny matters that requires humility is
beckoning, we might fail because we chose to feign a reality that should be born in the spirit.
Humility, helps us remember where God picked us from, where we are and where He will get us to.
The Psalmist butteresed this when he said that God picked him from the back of the desert
And made him a king when he was nothing before his eyes. These things helps us perpetually keep our dependence on God!
“Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share.” (1 Timothy 6:18)
Your financial blessings, talents, and time are given not just for your benefit but to meet the needs of others.
Stay Vigilant Against Pride and Complacency
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)
Blessing does not protect you from spiritual warfare.
If anything, the enemy would be delighted to turn your blessing into a trap.
So war a good warfare!
We pray, keep praying…pray again and pray some more again.
“You no dey rest!” Some people say. No ma! The adversary isn’t.
Furthermore, we can’t forget also the prayer of telling God to search our hearts.
It is not a prayer we make once, it is a continued prayer.
The heart is too vast more than man may ever even comprehend.
I assure you, sometimes you don’t know it it is lurking somewhere. Help our hearts Jesus! It is a sincere prayer.
Also, do not ever forget to stay connected both spiritually and physically to your Christian community.
Hebrews 10:25 “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Lastly, blessings are tactical instruments for the growth of the Kingdom.
That is, blessings achieve their greatest purpose when they are used as tools to impact the Kingdom.
Conclusion

Seasons of blessing are not the endpoint.
They are more like preparations for even greater assignments.
God is looking for faithful stewards who can handle abundance without losing their first love.
Sometimes in the euphoria, we tell God “Lord, trust me and give me, I won’t disappoint you!”
He wants to but the Master is asking “lovesth thou me more than these”
Sometimes we think we do, we even quote scriptures to buttress our point but time and time has proven that we don’t.
Let’s stay so God will give us the requisite capacity for the harvest we are asking for.
Peter!!, Peter!! Lovest thou me more than this says the Master!!
May we not just survive the hard seasons, but thrive in the blessed ones.
May we find strength not just to endure suffering, but to steward God’s blessings.
Therefore, whether in seasons of scarcity or seasons of abundance, the call remains
the same: to trust, to worship, to serve, and to glorify God.
Never forget, the blessing is sweet, but the Blesser is better.
Fix your eyes on Him, and you will find strength for every season.
